Pitching a Project on Patreon

Hey SCLeccentric fans!

Sorry no Crowmetheus this week. The bird will return next Friday. I want to show you something I am even more excited about.

Some of you may have checked out the SCLeccentric Patreon page. It’s still a work in progress. This week I posted a pitch of my new comic idea on my Patreon site.

The pitch is six pages, and it goes through the idea and characters in the story. There are a few images of my alien squids. It’s just a start.

Check it out!

HelpDotMe PitchWhat is Patreon?

Some people are probably asking about this. Patreon is a website that allows people to be patrons for artists. Fans can give to SCLeccentric monthly, and there are rewards for participation.

It’s like kickstarter, but the funding comes monthly, instead of one lump sum.

The Patreon website is something I am really excited about. It gives me a place to reveal information about upcoming projects. I want people to participate in the shared universe, and Patreon is a place where we can discuss confidential SCLeccentric matters.

The great thing about this is that it allows me to release pages without charging. Anyone can come to this site and look at pages for free. I don’t want to make people pay to see my work unless they want to.

And if you want to get involved, Patreon is awesome for that. I will post inside info, work in progress shots, and private commissions. In exchange for your patronage, I will draw you into the story as a cameo or full character. Different patronage levels give different rewards.

When this comic starts, I want patrons to feel included right away. The first scene takes place on a beach, so we are going to have a beach party! Anyone who is following the Patreon site is included. I will draw people doing their favorite beach activity and having fun.

Fun in the sun on page one. Catchy, isn’t it?

So check out the Patreon site, and give a buck if you want to!

Next week, more crows! See you then.
