Soul Self Portrait

Here’s a new oil painting I had some fun with.

I’m trying a few new things to stretch my limits. This one uses Gamvar gloss and gold leaf. It takes a lighter touch than I’m used to. Make sure to let the gloss coat dry while the painting is laying flat!

Sometimes it takes more patience than I have. Its hard to do a little bit, then let it dry for days.

But if thats what the pros are doing, we gotta try it. Right now I have a few works in progress, that makes it easier.

Hopefully all this pays off on that giant painting I’m working on. More progress on that later!
