Tripping: The Eastern Sierra
Hi All. I want to tell you about my latest trip to the Eastern Sierras.
An endless kaleidoscope of plants, animals, and geology
The Eastern Sierra Mountains are awe inspiring.
Massive mountain peaks tower over beautiful aspen forests. Rivers cut through massive granite slabs. The sun beats down, 10,000 times stronger than it is at the coast.
This time of year, the weather is cool but not too cold. The aspens are just changing color. Nature is in full swing.
For this trip I used a sketchbook. I would love to come back and bring the full setup for oil painting.this whole trip I was scouting campsites where I can set up my art studio tent.
This has been a solo trip. So far I have been having a great time. I am posting this from Mammoth Lakes, CA. Next leg of the trip is Yosemite Valley. Expect more paintings soon!
